Summer 2006 blew past us.

It was freaking Hot as Haiti. I was finally able to get an air conditioner after suffering 118 degrees in my apartment. oh the humanity.

Prima de Lux came into my life in June. A plucky little kitten with beauty to spare.



I redid my bathroom. *A special shout-out to Issac Mizrahi for Target. Love your jewel tones baby, love your jewel-tones.

I apple-martini'd myself all summer. There is something luxe about curling up on your couch at home, sipping a martini and taking in the view. In my case, it is lots of green, bougainvillea and Mount Washington in the distance. I added new martini glasses and shakers to my bar kichen cupboards. nice.

** given the recent bad food experiences recently related here, special shout-out to a restaurant doing it right ** I discovered Chili's. Wow. Me likey. I'm from a city that abhors chain restaurants, so I really haven't been to many or wanted to. A work luncheon brought me to this establishment and whammo, it was love. Soon it was Lunch to go, Dinner after work, exploring their margarita menu at the bar ... I have to say this place is consistent with great food, LOVE the cocktails and friendly, energetic service. Yay ... Chili's ... woo-hoo.

I read, saw some films, hung out.

I didn't take any vacations. That is to come. (hello, chateau)

Time is flying. Here comes Fall. A limited amount of shopping days left 'til Christmas. Can you believe it?

There is still time to rock this 2006 ish.
